True story. Back when I was an Intel Analyst, we were still at the height of the Cold War with the Soviet Union. I couldn't tell you how many times we would read classified message traffic that kept us worried about which one of us was gonna push the button first.

Reagan was a guns blazing fucking bully with no remorse. Exactly what our country needed after Carter.

Anyways, my reoccurring nightmare back then was one where I'm walking down the street of a large city looking for a fast food joint while mushroom clouds were boiling to the top of the sky in the background. It was weird that my only concern was finding something to eat.
