Hey Guys, I saw an old friend the other day who I have not seen in a long time, he is a known bourbon guy and during the conversation, I asked him what was his bourbon preference these days, He told me Four Roses small batch was really good, but he is really high on 1792, he said that for the price, its the smoothest he's had..
I'm on my 2nd bottle, and I must agree, this is now my go to "everyday" Bourbon,, just thought I'd pass it along...

I know it's available at my local liquor store. I'll give it a try.

I went downstairs to fetch a bottle and join you in a common pour, but I came back upstairs with my favorite rum instead. Highly recommend this stuff.

Huge fan of Goslings. My go to. Have never had or heard of "Family Reserve" How does it compare to the standard?
I’ve not tried the standard. And yes I realize how pretentious that sounds. 🤣

I just don’t drink that much rum (Zacapa, Zaya, and this one). I first tried this Gosling at a bourbon tasting here a couple years ago and it has just stuck with me, and I really don’t experiment much with other rums.

I agree, I'm not a rum guy, but it could be because I haven't been exposed to the good stuff.
Try Gosling Black Strap. Unique flavor, not cheap, but not expensive either. Some folks like Myers, also a quality mid priced rum, but it is not my cup of rum, lol... Will not spend $60+ on a bottle for myself. did spend about twice that for a bottle of Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight 18 year as a gift for my father in law. It was delicious...
