The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Im trying to figure out when to plant my Maters. the old saying is to plant on good friday.. but chatgpt says that if the night time temps dip into the 40's theyll stay dormant.. year before last i planted on good friday and they didnt do anything for about 3 weeks and then they took off, and got my first ripe tomato end of june. last year I waited till end of april and got my first ripe tomato end of june..
I think im gonna wait again.
Soil temperature is the key. You can plant them early, but it will slow them down. They will do better if the soil is warmer. Good luck

Got one.

A camping spot on the beach, especially during spring break and a holiday is near impossible to get, but not completely impossible. You need to reserve 7 months out and get lucky during the process, but if you check for last minute cancellation and then get lucky and are the first to snatch it up, you get your camping spot.

I just got camping lucky. Got a spot on the beach for a few days including Easter. Now I get to celebrate Easter in the dirt and sand. I am an idiot but will love almost every minute of it.

a long time ago an old timer told me that luck was an acronym Labor Under Correct Knowledge.. congrats on your spot, i know youll make good use of it ..

Up here the old timers rule of thumb is May 10 as the last frost and therefore the mater planting day. My son is in Idaho and he has his maters out already. Oh, he knows they will get killed by snow probably but his wife just wasn't going to be satisfied if he didn't get them into the ground.
i dont know how many plants hes got but if frost is in the forecast, he can take a few buckets and put them over the plants when theyre still small and itll save em...

Just finished plumbing in my new lift pump in my basement. The basement drain line is old clay tile that is full of roots and to dig it up and replace it would have been more than I wanted to spend right now, considering it goes probably 200 or more feet to the north and also under the concrete in front of the garage. So now the water will get pumped through my septic system.
