That is the pivot point on the quick attach for a bobcat skid loader. Reassembled before welding. The release handle goes around it and as mentioned, pivots there. I have broke so many of these damn things off over the years I don't even cut the whole piece out anymore. Just go buy a new one and cut the shank off that goes around the bolt and reweld it to the new one. That damn thing is definitly Bobcats weak point. Whoever the engineer was that designed it, you're a disgrace.

I've never seen shiny parts on equipment in the field that were a result of everything going right. I still believe that every engineer that designs a part should at least have to spend a six-month internship as a repair tech on the shit he/she designs.
