16 wasnt transitional? It was half a class recruited by Richt and have a class recruited by Kirby, what else would you call it? So in Kirby's 1st full 3 classes he has signed a higher point total than Saban (despite signing 2 less players) and you dont think that is indicative of better recruiting? Your link is talking about the past 5 years, Im talking about 3 so its pretty irrelevant to my point.16 wasn't that transitional. It is comparable to Alabama's '18 class when they couldn't sign 25 like they normally would. Yet you want to toss it out when saying "Smart has recruited the best and it is hard to argue". It just isn't true. Saban and Alabama have recruited the best in that span. Recruiting isn't everything though and Dabo has shown he can get a lot done with less recruits as long as they are high quality recruits. There really is no argument though on which program has recruited the best overall. Every resource you look at says it is Alabama.

It's not arguable when every resource says it is Alabama. Yours is definitely a fans perspective in this case. I would say Smart has gameplanned better than Saban in their last 2 match-ups and the talent on the field has changed the course of those 2 games late. That is where Alabama's roster depth showed up at several different positions. If Kirby had the same level of talent (You are claiming he has had more in your argument) then UGA would have won those 2 games going away.
