*Megyn Kelly and ask any CFB fan on the west coast to name something iconic about USC and there's a decent chance they'll mention the USC Song Girls. Boosters are not going to be happy about this nor should they.

Well considering the current political climate and all the BS going on this actually means more than just a "stupid name". This has implications and while to some may not seem all that important it could very well be very important.

This isn't about political climates, it's a name change that's only offensive to people in need of being offended at something.

Something about snowflakes.
 
One thing that isn't offensive, even to people in need of being offended by something is football. Games tonight and lots more tomorrow! Let's celebrate that and the name things to the name people.

You can take any posture you want to about this but it is indeed something that was done with an agenda in mind. Believe what you want but there is a message behind this and to folks who have watched whats been happening, especially over the last 5 or so years, it means something indeed.

I mean it was traditional for Washington to be a Pac-10/Pac-12 member until it wasn't. If you wanna fight to bring that tradition back, you'll have my moral support.
 
Anyway, fun fact about name changes. Before they became the Huskies, the University of Washington was known as the Washington Sun Dodgers. In 1922 they changed it to Huskies and thankfully, no one tried to start a culture war over it.

Stick to what you know best ... east coast football. I grew up watching John McKay USC teams on the TV. The USC Song Girls have been a tradition for as long as I can remember.
