After 1 game. Name the 3 things you want to see the most improvement out for game two.

Offensive line was rough for the first half against Oregon. They got no push and weren’t opening any lanes. They majorly improved in the second half but slow starts like that can’t keep happening.

More deep passes. We have so much ridiculous speed in our WR corps and we didn’t take advantage of it at all. I know we lost our best deep threat in years to the nfl but still, stretching the field with the deep ball is one of the main staples of our offense.

Special teams coverage. We sucked on return coverage last year and this first game appeared to continue that trend. 3 punt returns for 131 yards (including an 81 yarder) and 2 kick returns for 57 yards. That’s completely unacceptable. And one of those big returns was in the final seconds that allowed Oregon to get into range for a Hail Mary. Every time we kick or punt makes me nervous.

Thoughts? @aubie2006

1. Run Blocking. Bama may have one of the top QB's in the nation, but the way our running game was against Duke was unacceptable.
2. Pass protection. Tua had to scramble way too much. He did it well, and made them pay, but he needs more time in the pocket.
3. FG kicking. Again. Please. I'm begging.
3a: penalties.
1. More balance on offense
2. How about Tua under center
3. Oline all yhe way around. They just need to gel a bit...i hope,

#1 - Oline. They should be still be running stadium steps - for the pass/run blocking.
#2 - FG kicker(s) They should be still be running stadium steps.. Get a new crop of dudes or dudettes. Who in the Blue Hell can hit not one but both uprights in FG attempts????
#3 - Oline. They should be still be running stadium steps - for the stupid penalties.

1 - our O line was great at running the ball, but pass protection needs to improve. Hank had to pick himself up off the ground way too many times.

2 - don't give up the big plays on Defense. We seemed very flat footed on D in the first half. You can do that agaisnt a team like FSU, but we got Marshall coming to town soon and we can't afford to give up those big plays to them.

3 - field position game. 9 yard punt, seriously?
