I’ll be having surgery this coming Tuesday. They are inserting a stent and removing some damaged veins to hopefully take care of a blood clot issue that has been causing problems for me lately.

Anesthesia is a bit of a concern as my breathing tube failed last time and I had to be intubated with more serious equipment.

In addition, because of my low heart rate and blood pressure (53 bpm, 90/60) and genetic cardiac issues I’m at a higher risk for a DVT forming during or in the days after the surgery.

It’ll keep me out of work for about a month.

If all goes well it should be my last surgery and I can finally get back to full health after two long years of misery. If it doesn’t go well, at least I won’t have to watch anymore trash football from Mizzou this year.

So yeah. Pitter patter. Let’s get at ‘er.

Thank you to everyone for the support and well wishes. It truly means a lot. I’m confident this is my last hurdle between me and being back to my normal self.

It has been a very stressful couple of years for me and my family. 29 years old but some days I feel like you could swap those numbers around and it would still be accurate. Thanks for giving me a place that I can relax and talk sports and whatever else while forgetting all the shit I have going on. You all make this place special and I'm grateful for that.
