Al-Qaeda vs Taliban...

Nothing. I was invited over here by Couch. I still post on Sound Off.

Your lips to gods ears. I just dont see a path to success for this one. Unless Georgia players become complacent and ND is able to take advantage of it
How would you compare ND to the playoff team last year? I made my original post based off of what I saw against Clemson. Haven't been able to watch any ND games yet this year.

They gained talent and lost experience.

So the O line this year is stacked. And talent is deep. However ND changed O line coach a couple years ago when the coach went to the Bears. And the O line has regressed.

RB is by committee as there isnt a stand out back. The closest one to it keeps going on injury.

At LB almost way too many first year starters. But again. More talent than previous years.

In the secondary they gained depth and talent. But lost an AA that did a great job against Clemson last year until he went out mid game injured.

And this QB...... he is one of those that does just good enough not be benched. But if there was a top tier QB on the roster he would be holding the clip board.

Lastly. Never underestimate the HC. Kelly can fuck up anything. See Tulsa, USF, Ball St last year, Miami 2 years ago. He is above average at winning games he is supposed to win. But he isnt known for raising the bar against competition at elite level. The lone exception to this being Georgia a couple years ago at home.

Did read a cool stat about this game.

This is the first non-conference matchup between top 10 teams in Athens in 53 years. The last one to happen was #7 Georgia vs #5 GTech which Georgia won 23-14 in 1966. That was Bobby Dodd's last at GTech as HC, and two years after GTech left the SEC.

Just cool data point
I have no dog in this fight but I think them Dawgs will have their hands full vs ND. Remember all those tweets last season from UGA players about how ND didn't belong in CFP? ND will come to play. I smell an upset.

Would be a dream come true.

Just hard to see it.

Good stuff. In light of this new information... I stand by my original post. UGA by 21.

You know. Been hearing the talking heads today. And I'm not positive. But I think ND might be an underdog in this game.

I mean a couple of them are really starting to talk about the possibility ND might not win

My head says 31 - 17 Georgia

My heart says ND has the ability to shock them. It will come down to if this ND O line can find a run game for them and keep Book clean.

The more the game becomes a shoot out the better the chances for ND. Because I do think ND has the better quick sustained passing game.

The more Georgia can control their run game and keep it low scoring the more Georgia will pull away. Because they will have over all game control

Instant reaction: ND performed better than expected. UGA not quite what I thought they were. Think Bama still has a pretty tight grip on the SEC. Book has happy feet. He bails earlier than he should. Fromm will never get in the Heisman conversation but he should. He's as solid and consistent as they come.

It seems there is one thing Kirby lacks. Go for the throat when you have the other team on the ropes.

Damn man. This turned out to be spot on.

Your boys came to play. No quit in the Irish. Respect!
