Alabama AD confirms Tide and Notre Dame will NOT open the 2020 season (if there is one)

Says the schools are committed to and looking forward to their 2028/2029 series. A shame, as, given USC had to drop Alabama (season opener) and Notre Dame (season closer), a Crimson Tide vs Fighting Irish season opener seemed possible, but alas, it is not going to happen. Bama has reportedly turned it's gaze towards BYU.

That would have been a great OOC schedule. was supposed to play BYU this year but then the B1G cancelled OOC games. We were supposed to play Miami too. It would have been a fun schedule, but realistically this transition is going to be rough after bringing in a new staff and not having spring ball.
