Bowman is great and it's practically in my backyard. Virginia Distillery out of Lovingston is good as well.

I have a bottle, well half full, of their port cask finished Virginia-Highland Whiskey. Good stuff.

One night was in Bowling Green KY on a track day event and we (my track day friend and his wife, were at the liquor barn and had some Bowman's in the cart. Some clerk was trying to say it was KY whiskey as the mash came from KY. I quickly explained to him the error of his ways as it was then triple distilled and aged in VA as he was about 30 seconds away from having an irate Ginger from VA ripping him a new one.
