I'd venture to say that you mean crappy tequila because that's the same with me. Patron isn't that. But I still stay away from the stuff. Prefer bourbon.

I've heard that from other people.

I stopped drinking the hard stuff and never really drank a lot of tequila. Mostly because when I did, I was drinking it with married women who were trying to get into my britches. As a young man in his mid 20's, I had no interest in getting shot by an angry husband...
