I remember the Florida State rampage of the 1990s. This is nothing compared to that. With the ACC, everything is random and the rest of the conference will catch up once CU is no longer above random.

Doing a turnaround in 5 years is no easy task, Clemson is so far ahead of the rest of the conference that I don't see anyone doing it that quickly- assuming Dabo stays put, of course.

Sure, but 5 years ago, the question who was gonna catch up to us? Nobody after 2000 saw anybody catching us either. 5-6 years is a long time in today's college football world. Dabo starts losing assistants, we get our stuff together, Miami gets it together, Va Tech does, etc and you could see a change like that.

As a whole there are teams in the ACC that definitely can and will start contending soon.

Miami is poised to run around
FSU is FSU, these past two years are flukes.
UNC is THROWING money at a football program and Mack is Back
Louisville always can be back in the mix with the right coach

My wildcard is actually Pitt, I expect them to start turning heads soon. Maybe they play the spoiler roll but I see them coming up soon

The only thing is if Dabo can retain his assistants... doing that he continues to recruit well and keep the skill positions deep. If he loses assistants then things could change quickly.

Plus FSU has a huge brand... they can still draw some talent on name alone but that window is rapidly closing. If they can score the right coach FSU could easily be back to stomping people new aholes.
