The NIT is going with 16 teams and could be affected by NCAA teams opting out.

1 Colorado State vs 4 Buffalo
2 Davidson vs 3 NC State

NIT Lower Left

1 Memphis vs 4 Dayton
2 Boise State vs 3 SMU

NIT Upper Right

1 St. Louis vs 4 Mississippi State
2 Richmond vs 3 Toledo

NIT Lower Right

1 Mississippi vs 4 Louisiana Tech
2 St. Mary's vs 3 Western Kentucky

First 4 out of the NIT in order are Belmont, Furman, Marshall, and UAB.

Dick Vitale feels Belmont should've made the NCAA. The Bruins are now looking at CBI or nothing.

The CBI was initially set to release their field Tuesday, but they had it ready to go today so here it is. It's 8 teams this year and in a first for this tournament, the final round will be single elimination instead of Best of 3.

Stetson vs Bowling Green
Coastal Carolina vs Bryant
Longwood vs Pepperdine
Bellarmine vs Army

The NCAA D1 Women's Tournament field will be announced on ESPN in just a little bit.

7 Iowa State vs 10 Michigan State
2 Texas A&M vs 15 Troy

State gets the 1 seed after winning the ACC title in the final seconds a week ago. The Aggies are a 2 seed and were arguably 1 seed material.

NCAA Women's Tournament Hemisfair Region

1 South Carolina vs 16 Mercer
8 Oregon State vs 9 Florida State
5 Georgia Tech vs 12 Stephen F. Austin
4 West Virginia vs 13 Lehigh

6 Texas vs 11 Bradley

6 Oregon vs 11 South Dakota
3 Georgia vs 14 Drexel
7 Northwestern vs 10 UCF

I figured Georgia would be a 2, but they're a 3. Wake Forest makes the cut.

NCAA Women's Tournament River Walk Region

1 UConn vs 16 High Point
8 Syracuse vs 9 South Dakota State
5 Iowa vs 12 Central Michigan
4 Kentucky vs 13 Idaho State

Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers set to potentially meet in the Regional Semifinals.

NC State is the Overall #1 Seed. The entire tournament will take place in the San Antonio area.

That MTSU/Tennessee game is notable as the Blue Raiders' top player, Anastasia Hayes transferred out of Tennessee after a falling out with the Lady Vols' then-coach, Holly Warlick.

The First Four out, in order are Houston, DePaul, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma. They are also first in line as an alternate in case Covid things happen between now and the 1st Round. If 3 teams don't scratch out in time, this will be Notre Dame's first time missing the tournament since 1995.

The WNIT field has been announced.

Ft. Worth Region

Arizona State vs Rice
Fresno State vs Missouri
San Francisco vs Houston
CBU vs New Mexico

Charlotte Region

Fordham vs Delaware
Ohio vs Clemson
Charlotte vs Florida
UMass vs Villanova

Memphis Region

UT Martin vs Nebraska
Louisiana vs Colorado
Samford vs Mississippi
Illinois State vs Tulane

Rockford Region

Northern Iowa vs Dayton
Creighton vs Bowling Green
St. Louis vs DePaul
Milwaukee vs Drake

The most notable team in the field is CBU (Cal Baptist for the unfamiliar) who went undefeated and won the Western Athletic Championship. Unfortunately for the Lancers, they're still transitioning to D1 and thus aren't familiar for the NCAA Tournament. Utah Valley got their automatic bid so CBU gets to enjoy the WNIT. The WNIT Final will be in Memphis.

Finally, there's the WBI aka Women's Basketball Invitational. This is 8 teams and plays like an 8 team early season tournament so all 8 teams are set to play 3 games, win or lose. The tournament takes place in Frankfort at Kentucky State.

WBI

Cleveland State vs Manhattan
Loyola-Chi vs Longwood
Portland vs ACU
FIU vs Northern Arizona
