Kenneth Walker and Desmond Ridder are the most deserving. Just because you are a QB at Bama or tOSU shouldn't aromatically qualify you.

I hate what college football is becoming. You'll never see another Barry Sanders win as long as it is a beauty contest.

I disagree, Jackson won it at UL. Johnny Football won it at A&M. Neither of those guys were at title contenders. Neither was RG3 at Baylor or Tebow at UF. We've even had guys like Geno Smith or Matt Corral be mid-season leaders. Sure more times than not it will go to the best player on a top team (but that isnt anything new. Its been that way for a while) but if a truly special player is on a non-title team, theyll get a chance.

I lost total interest in a trophy that is handed out for "The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity"...

There have been a few but they were rare cases. The games different same thing I said when Stanford fans were pushing McCaffery for a heisman and complaining when he didn’t win….Christian McCaffery did not break Sanders record. He required extra games including regular season schedule expansion and post season games. I’ll never recognize that Sanders still holds that record imo

So who ends up getting the invite to NY?

My 4 in no certain order:

1. Kenneth Walker III
2. Bryce Young
3. Jordan Davis
4. CJ Stroud

With my Red N Black glasses on, if you fully follow "The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity", Jordan Davis should win it. He embraces his place on the team and on the field. IMO, there is no other player on any team in the country that can lay claim to being the team MVP better than Davis.

Then I take my glasses off, and I see the same thing. I said what I said. Prove me wrong.

Davis is the most deserving of being named 2021's Heisman Trophy player.

I’m not sure when they started making a big deal out of getting invited to NYC, but it seems like some voters use it as an excuse to not rank the most deserving player in 1st…like it’s a pat on the head and an “atta boy”.
