ok, I know how hard it is not to order the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, and Turnip Greens,,,
BUT,
you havent lived right, until you eat breakfast at cracker barrel.. the hashbrown casserole is worth the trip by itself.. I used to trade in the apples for a second helping of that.

I order extra helpings every time I go. My wife looked up the recipe, tweaked it a bit (using cream of mushroom as well as the cream of chicken) and made it better.

Did I happen to mention that their definition of "serving" sucks balls.

The closest one was an hour and a half away and I don't remember seeing breakfast items on the menu during the middle of the day.

I grew up only hitting them on road trips with my family then working, though the boss would pay for it if I was on the road.

I bought my favorite hat ever from there and lost it to a muddy ditch in a fight.

They serve breakfast all day long, but you have to ask for the breakfast menu.
