Game Thread Friday Week 14

Ok, I’m here for the beating. Congrats @PSUTE.

I need to look at the bright side of things. None of you gave a shit about us last year but are currently on cloud 9. Means only one thing, we are back.

Beat our rivals and was able to be stressed weekly as opposed to being frustrated. I’ll take it. Fight on.
I don’t remember the last time I was this stressed. And it feels so good to be stressed again. Hoping to play a team we don’t normally play in a bowl this year and can’t wait for next season Fight On \/ sheepdog

Fuck Lincoln Riley

@iesheepdog... looks like Riley put all his eggs in one QB basket. Considering that he was trying to cobble together a winning team through the portal, a gamble that he lost. Since the portal is new, he hasn't gotten the fact the there is a thing called chemistry. Whitt figured it out last year when the backup QB was voted captain and the starter, a transfer, transferred again after 3 games (2.5 actually played) Changing landscape, but working wit the same guys for a coupla years matters...

Williams popped his hamstring on the long run on the third drive. You can see his leg buckle when he got caught up in the turf. Always hated turf going back to my playing days. Hated seeing Jamison Williams go down from turf last year. Turf needs to go.

Still pretty amazed Caleb was able to keep SC in the game at 50%. Pretty impressive working with one leg imo. Not so much a depth issue Moss is a great QB. Caleb is competitive he didn’t want to leave the game.

Also wouldn’t say there was a chemistry issue. Injury issues yes Addison, Gentry,Height,Dye… But chemistry has not been a problem.

If Williams doesn’t injure his hamstring who knows….but it is what it is.Riley surpassed my expectations for year 1. Would have loved to see SC play UGA this year but SC has a lot to be excited about going forward.Really looking forward to seeing Zach Branch. But I was always a huge Cliff Branch fan too. I respectfully say you are completely wrong about Riley.

This team had chemistry and Riley did a fantastic job with what he came into. Coach of the year easily.

Lost the portal gamble, really? What exactly would this teams record been without it. I am not a portal fan, but that was the difference maker for a first year coach coming into a 4-8 program.
