Did anyone watch the premiere episode last night? I had to watch it again today to fully absorb it.

The Watchmen is my all time favorite movie and one of my favorite comics, literally almost the only thing in DC I like besides Batman Hush and The Longest Halloween.

What thoughts did you guys have?
 
Loved it, Boss. I was pausing, rewinding at all the little details in the background of each scene. The episode had perfect mix of dialogue, action, violence and intrigue. I do hope they follow other lead characters besides Sister Night in the future.
Can't wait for next week.

I'm beyond intrigued by the man at the end who was the boy in the beginning. Remember his line to Sister Night at the pastry shop where he said "want to see me lift 200 pounds" now I'm really champing at the bit on him.

Also Ozymandias still being around (the old rich guy in England) one has to wonder what he's going to be up to. We know the stopwatch was either Dr Manhattans OR a replica. Also did you see the quick teaser of Dr M tapping his finger on a desk?!!!
 
It took an episode of Watchmen for a few people out there to realize that the massacre in 1921 was a thing that happened.

Exactly! I'm not sure how many people actually realize that happened let alone the fact that US war planes were involved in Bombing the area.

I never knew much about it. I had heard of it, but never really knew any details. Saw this in another Watchmen thread:

As for the show, I didn’t care much for it, but I’m not really in to comic books even if they turn them into movies or tv shows.
 
Oh wow... I had not heard HBO was doing a series on Watchmen. I will have to check it out.
