How many non p5 teams are on your schedule this year?

For this year:

1. Cincinnati
2. UCF
3. Louisiana
4. Nevada
5. BYU
6. Boise State
7. Liberty
8. Appalachian State
9. Coastal Carolina
10. Tulsa

I don't see much reason to post a list different from this. Maybe put Liberty a bit higher. Liberty and UCF did a great job in the portal bringing in former P5 players. AppSt added former Clemson QB Chase Brice. Coastal Carolina returns nearly every starter from last season, but their road schedule is brutal. Louisiana gets AppSt at home, but their road schedule is also much tougher than last season. Boise State is Boise State, but they have some issues off the field in the school hierarchy that may cause problems within the program. If I were to add a different team to this list, It would probably be replacing Tulsa with Fresno State.

I didn't factor in schedules. I was just trying to list the best teams. Coastal Carolina has one of the easiest schedules I've seen in a long time. I'm not as high on CC as some people are but they could easily win 10-11 games.

Fresno State is a wildcard for me. I don't really know what to expect from them. They looked great against a terrible UConn team. In the next 2 weeks, they play Oregon and UCLA so we will find out soon.

Not a fight, just an answer to the OP’s question and since he omitted his own team’s schedule, I thought I’d help him out.
Had to stop playing the P5 we have the agreement with so much. In the only season we played conference games we ended up with like a 90% win conference record

Starting to understand why everyone makes fun of the ACC so much

It's funny how perception changes when you decide to get off your high horse and join the crowd, huh?

No. I still think conferences are for cowards.

I would rather see a national schedule with new opponents than the same 8 or 10 opponents year in and year out. As is. If given the chance I would remove Navy from the annual schedule and make them a once an every couple of year game. But I respect the reason they are actually there and will always tune in to watch that game if for no other reason than that.

This year ND has Wisky in Chicago. An opponent they haven't played since 1964. They play Cincy who has one of the better and currently underpaid HC in the country that are ranked ahead of ND. For the first time ever.

Do they have a gimme game in there with Toledo. Sure. But I'll take the fact that at least they are a MAC team in the FBS with the same rules and restrictions as any other FBS.

So. In short no. I hate conferences. I think the sport was better when there was a strong group of Indy schools. And now the schedules just keep getting more conferenc-centric to protect conference earnings and I think that is awful for the sport
