I know apologizing makes me weak but I do owe it to Coach Helton. I have been a broken record on here about his management and dismantling of the USC football team. I have complained game after game and in some cases, play after play. Today's decision by the university that I have loved for close to 57 years proves that the problem isn't Helton, it's those in charge.

Coach Helton you are an average coach and we all know that. Nothing wrong with that somewhere else, embrace it, USC administration has. You came in following cutty Sark and kid Kiffin. You are an adult and haven't brought shame on the university, thanks.

As for those at the university that have made this decision, you have the power and the money that I don't, so you win. You that should care, don't. So I guess I shouldn't either. I know my measly attendance one game a year isn't going to hit you in the pocket book. So I am sure while you're drinking your cocktails you won't give me a second thought, but I just want to say: FUCK YOU.

...Or, they think that they want to move into a Herm Edwards mode. The HC is beloved by his players and as CEO hires the best coordinators he can get in the business and runs it like a business. Produce or you're out of here... Either way, the athletic department either pays its own way or doesn't...
 
I get it. After over a decade of Davie, Willingham, Weis. And now a decade of Kelly. I get the frustration.

Being happy with being inferior because the school is scared of crapping out on even a worse hire.

Yes I think you need to give a coach 5 to 6 years to build what they are going to build and show results. But in that time if they aren't producing. It is time for them to be put and notice, and without improvement. Time for them to go

It’s usually not a good thing when your rivals are cheering your coach sticking around. Twitter is blowing up over this decision.
 
@iesheepdog...brother, the current priority list at SC includes a football HC plan but until the directors of the medical school there stop diddling female patients and hosting coke orgies with strippers your football program is far down the list. Just my irrelevant opinion.

President Folt was brought in to clean things up no doubt. As you stated, a dean having a thing for meth and prostitutes and another staff member diddling females leaves a pretty ugly image. That and members of the athletic department involved in the varsity blues scandal and I guess you can say she has her hands full.

Talk is Stoops was a done deal and that is why we had the sports illustrated leak earlier in the week that Helton was gone, but apparently Stoops wanted more control then what some of the bot were willing to give up. This is the same bot that stood by collecting donor money while a dean and medical school admin are doing their thing on their watch.

The same bot that have been rumored not to give a shit about football for a while. Until changes take place there, no serious money is going to be spent on football. Part of the Stoops control was paying for good assistants and professionals in the department, not student interns.
