I don't like to revel in someone being turfed from a job...

There's a man who needs to step down to the NCAA level.
I bet he'd do pretty well...

LOL he’s an above .500 NFL Coach who has been to a Super Bowl, he’s only coached in the NFL and has zero College Experience.

He’s gonna be on a short list to get recycled as an NFL HC or at the very worst, be a well paid DC.

I'd trade him for Freddie.
What is turfed from a job?

I didn't know he was above .500 as a HC. That is impressive for him lol.
Also, I saw where ISU gave Campbell an extension, damn!

Yea, from what it sounds like, he was all ours but got cold feet and wanted to stay at ISU. Truthfully, I'm ok with it. While I think he's a great coach and would've certainly had us a better program. He's always come across as a Midwestern/BIG Ten Guy and I'm not sure he woulda been able to "play the game" down here that Franklin would've or Norvell probably will.

I also do admire a coach wanting to at least stick around at a place where he can make his own name.

I'm just ready to be done with this whole thing though. Norvell, Allen, Fickel, hell, even Lane Train is appealing to me at this point. Just hire someone already, it feels like 10 years since we let Willie go.

I think FSU is and has been at a place where they can hire a solid experienced coach.
I don't think the FSU faithful would be as excited about an 'up and comer' like we were.
However, if they were warm to the idea, there's another Norvell... and his OC is Matt Mumme.
I'd love to see both get a shot together at an established school. Just not in the B-12, haha...

Here the thing, brother. And I’ve tried to be consistent in this. “Established” coaches don’t usually leave their place unless it’s for the NFL. Rarely does major or even medium P5 guys take another major gig. Jimbo was an anomaly. Up and Comers is about all any program can really get unless there is special circumstances and lucky timing.
