She served in the United States House of Representatives from 1979 to 1985, and was the Democratic Party's vice presidential nominee in 1984, running alongside former vice president Walter Mondale; this made her the first female vice-presidential nominee representing a major American political party.
And when she was mondale's vp candidate that was the dems running against Reagan's 2nd term bid. And they got plastered in the voting.

Wasnt this the first time in like 40 years that Oregon beat a top 10 ranked non-conference opponent? Or was it a top 5? @Duckboy33 I thought i heard an announcer say that.
