If you wanted to build a dynasty what position group do you start with

Would you work the O line first? Secondary? LB?

For me it would he a toss up between an elite level not just good level. O line or an elite LB / secondary blend especially as more defenses are moving to 4-2-5 type defenses and you see more hybrid nickel packages.

I would say the defense. Having an elite o line with shitty skill players won’t do you any good if you can’t get some stops. An elite defense, and a mediocre offense will still win you a lot of games, and defenses are usually quicker to gel than an offense. That’s how the Saban dynasty at Bama started.

If I told you, you get Madden Dynasty mode, and divide the defense into Line, LB, and Secondary, 2 of them will just be good, and 1 will be elite.

I’d-start with LB. In Sabans system the middle lb is usually the one making the calls for the rest of the defense.

being elite is not comfortable, it is against Human Nature. start with a head coach who is Clearly in charge, feared even, then build a coaching staff around him to implement the NEW CULTURE that out works everybody, that's how it starts, every time, every where,

Stop the run, run the ball, physical. solid special teams. work it till you break through,
then perpetuate the cycle: Recruit the best players, win the big games, send them to the show, repeat.

O-line, nothing is more important then trench play and an elite o-line makes everybody else’s job a lot easier.

I'd start with linebackers, then switch to offensive line, then, defensive line. And absolutely no Polish kickers.
