Give me your 5 greatestl single plays in college football. Your team or not. Your lifetime or not.

The 5 single great plays that when you see them. You go wow. That, that is what belongs on the Mount Rushmore of all time single plays. To me, in no particular order

Vince Young, Rose Bowl

Montana with a 104 degree fever in freezing temps to Haines as time expires to win the 79 Cotton Bowl (even though ND had to attempt the point after twice due to a penalty to finally win by 1 point)

Flutie’s Hail Mary

Boise St Statue of Liberty play vs Oklahoma

App St blocks Michigan FG attempt on the very first game ever on the B1G network

I think we should distinguish between plays, and moments.

For example, Vince running into the endzone was imo a great moment. Flutie's pass was a great play. While obviously any moment is 99% of the time going to be a play, I think we can differentiate to therefore have 10 moments, 5 of each. I think the way I'f distinguis the two is, a play is when offensively, the team accomplishes something incredible, and it was what was intended, such as the Boise Statue of Liberty play. A moment is when magic just happens, such as "The Band is on the field!" And some may come in between, or go either way, such as the goddamned Kick 6.

Also, I am limiting mine to plays I saw when they happened, not plays that predated me watching the game. So, that means, for example, the Flutie Hail Mary won't make my list, where as I do consider it a top 5 alltime play.

"I did the Notre Dame game at Georgia, and I have never seen anything like that atmosphere that night." Said Danielson, "That was as loud as I have ever heard anything."
