Iowa vs penn st.

It was an exciting dual last night Iowa won 19 to 17. Iowa's #2 ranked 133 pounder got hurt and had to medically forfeit during the match which cost us 6 points but they still pulled it out in the end,

PSU is new to being elite at wrestling aren’t they? IIRC, a big donor endowed a salary for a wrestling coach and they hired a guy from Iowa or Iowa state who was the Saban of wrestling, and boom, elite non revenue sport.
Yeah that's about right. Cael wrestled at ia st. He's a good coach no doubt about it. But some of their fans think wrestling was invented when he came to Penn st. Lots of bandwagon fans there. Some are pretty knowledgeable, others are just plain ignorant on about everything to do with the sport. But every fan base has fans like that, it's just theirs are really vocal now.

PSU has had a long history of being good, but only one early (1953) team championship. Quite a few individuals won one.

The run of #1 finishes is definitely due to Sanderson, like Saban is responsible for Alabama's run in CFB.
