Joe Rogan Experience

You know when they say: "You just can't make that shit up"? Well... apparently, you really CAN make that shit up.
This is just ten minutes of a 2+ hour pod. Hell, even at around the 5:20 mark, Rogan say; "what the fuck are you
talking about?" Alex was high af, and a little tipsy too... wooooooweee, wow!

I just started listening to his podcast a couple weeks ago and I'm saving this one. Halfway through Elon's now. If anyone has the energy, would like to know if there are older ones that are really good. Kinda just picking them randomly.

Is that anything like acid? Asking for those of us that you would consider "old fuckers".

I’ve never had it, but from the patients in the hospital that have done it say it’s like having an out of body experience combined with a really vivid life like dream, and then the trip is done after 20 minutes, and you are back to normal.

Gross, Sooner Born and bred for your title?! Yuck

So it's like the acid version of crack's attempt to give poor people a few minutes of the cocaine experience?

I enjoyed the David Sinclair podcasts, he's a Harvard doctor researching anti aging stuff, very promising stuff. Any of the scientists are cool. Check out Bob Lazar for some Area 51 stuff.

Once you get a feel for the vibe, listen to the Alex Jones episode, it's funny as hell.

People describe it as going to another dimension, feeling the presence of things they dont understand who want to help you find contentment. Kinda like a disk defrag for your brain.

I’m not sure, but it isn’t cheap, but rather expensive from what I have gathered.

I believe your body produces a slight amount, but nothing that would ever result in anything at all.

I believe it is derived from toads, or synthetically developed in labs.

It comes from a particular root, but can be found in smaller amounts in many plants.

Some South America tribes boil it down into a tea. The effects are less intense but can last all day.

Obviously it's used recreationally, but it's also used to treat depression/anxiety/ptsd.

I’ve heard it called the ‘businessman’s acid’. Hits quick and hard but you’re done and back to normal in an hour or so. It’s a very, very intense peak. Can’t understate that at all. Like you smoke it and immediately everything around you is going to transform into something else. I fell into a black hole the first time I tried it.

You’ll come back to reality in about 15 minutes but that could feel like ten lifetimes when you are balls deep into a trip like that. Best body high I’ve ever had on the comedown. Fun stuff, hard to find in my experience.

Shit....now I'm gonna have to try it. Seriously, though, I've done pretty much everything but heroin. That sounds like a trip I'd like to take. I'm all about the mind floating experience. I'm the 70s/80s version of Timothy Leary when it comes to expanding the mind.

I'm not going to find the links, you can search for them pretty easily. A few that pop into my head are (some of these are obviosly repeats)...

Alex Jones
Elon Musk
Cowboy Cerrone
Jake the Snake Roberts
Neil deGrasse Tyson (multiple)
Jocko Willink
Nick Yarris

I'm sure there's some I'm missing but that will give you a start...

The thing about JRE is that it's long form, if the topic or guest is interesting to you, you'll probably learn a lot and enjoy it. If not, just skip it, there's plenty more out there.

Joe calls himself a dummy all the time, but he has a wide range of interests and let's his guests be the expert.

If you need inspiration listen to David Goggins episode. David Lee Roth was also surprisingly interesting, he is arrogant but has not lived the typical rock star life (studied sword fighting in Japan, worked as an EMT for 4 years in NYC all after leaving Van Halen).

Yeah, noticed this only from a few I've listened to. It's pretty easy to see why he's been such a success with podcasts. He's very bright and does a great job of not waiting to talk over his guests. Even like how he disagrees by really just keeping quiet unless directly asked. That gets people very comfortable and willing to open up more. He's obviously very smart and well-read.

Agreed. He is very non-judgmental and makes his guests feel very comfortable. You can tell he has been around all sorts of very intelligent people and is well-rounded. That's worth just as much, if not more than most higher education degrees in my opinion. The only thing he gets defensive about is if a guest is against cannabis. He will get triggered then. I watch him all the time, but some guests I skip though. Im not that interested in the MMA guests for example.
