Live in the middle of nowhere. Heard this shit too may times before...

The only time I've seen fiber (and other high speed infrastructure) going into "rural" areas is when grandpa sells the farm and they turn it into a subdivision - contributing to urban sprawl. I've yet to see true high speed retro-fitted into rural areas. *with the exception of Starlink.
