LSU hires Brian Kelly?

My soul is happy.

Now, as long as they hire the next guy the right way. ND is set.

If they use the DC (Freeman) as interim, and interview him for HC as well. And then try for Fickell post playoff. If you cannot get Fickell to answer the phone. Then Jeff Bhrom.

ND is set roster wise as long as the recruiting doesn't fall off.

Seriously though. Think about this.

I mean he was out of leverage with ND. He has held ND hostage multiple times. In 2012, 2015, 2018, and then again last year. So at this point we are at the 'Win a Natty before 2025 or pack your crap'. The funny thing is that, and I mean this. ND right now is a dynamic QB and the O line playing to their potential away from making the championship game. I mean that. I know there is a stigma with ND and getting blown out in the big games. But that is where he always loses at. And now, all the other pieces are there. Great recruits on the defense and an amazing DC. Great RB, and a solid OC, and with the exception of the WR coach and O Line coach amazing coaching staff.

And with all of that Kelly looked at the locker room and decided he was better off going to LSU with the fanbase, the looming behind the scenes crap. So LSU is getting a 60 year old coach with a losing record against top level opponents and what is going to be a huge paycheck. Sorry for what is going to happen to you LSU.

How long you think he lasts? O/U on 2 years?

You more than anyone has been waiting for this day so congrats and congrats on the celebratory sex tonight!!!!

@Proud_Okie now is the time for OU to reach out to Luke Fickell.

OU's class is falling apart anyway, why not wait on him? But it seems defensive minded coaches do better in the SEC for the most part. Is that Fickell? I truly don't know because I haven't really paid much attention to Cincy, but I just figured they were run and gun.... I know that IS Venables.

Without being an asshole. It depends on the behind the scenes stuff at ND.

I will say this. Kelly loves the limelight. And hates criticism. And he thinks the fans and media were rough on him at ND? I mean LSU fans are going to be literally digging through his trash and savaging him about the kind of food he buys.

So I think LSU has to give Kelly 3 to 5 years. But I don't think they will be happy at the end of it

They already have. It's him or Venables I think.

Everything I have heard about Fickell is that he wants to coach in the midwest. And that is why to this point the USC jobs etc didn't happen. Fickell has said before that ND is one of the jobs he would be interested in.

But the problem is timing. If you are Fickell up ain't doing shit until the season is over. And you are on the edge of making the playoff. So it will come down to the ADs deciding if they are chill with waiting for Cincy to finish their seasons.

Fickell played D line at tOSU and was a 3 time state wrestling champ in Ohio. I'd say he's probably a hard-nosed defensive guy, haha.

15 million per year.

The biggest question is this: has a head coach ever left a team literally on the verge of a playoff berth? Is this a first a coach has bailed on a team playing for a title?
I do not believe for a milisecond, that LSU will pay anyone $15 mil a year.

Looking forward to the coach match up in November next year.

It had to be this year though. Because this is as high as his stock would get. Think about it. Next year he would have to coach against

Ryan Day
Dabo
Mack Brown
Riley

All in one season. He isn't winning all those. And it would just kill his stock

Now I will say this.

I have heard that there is a great possibility that Ryan Day ain't at Ohio St next year due to the NFL. Just sayin
