Interesting subject. My middle boy was held back in the first grade due to immaturity. Youngest has been held back also. I have talked to so many dads who when offered a repeat in elementary jumped all over it. Better to get it out of the way when they wont remember than wait till middle school.
Oklahoma has a 19 yrs of age for all wrestling. Eligibility expires on the child's 20th birthday. Teammate in hs had a spring birthday, which along being held back put him real close to the cut off his senior yr.
