The ones I am getting now are more of the annoying sort. 2 nights ago it was just aggravating enough to not let me sleep. I let Mr. TG sleep.... Lets just say he was not happy that I was up all night all my my self.. Damn I really am a bitch.....
To be honest I am the lucky one.... He should have sent me packing on several occasions... Somehow, maybe he just feels sorry for me, so he keeps me around for entertainment purposes..

Good morning crew.

Yeah ground shrinkage is a real thing. Am I right in thinking that your deer in Florida are a different sub species of the whitetail? Smaller bodies to dissipate the heat easier?

It has more to do with diet from the soil content of the region, but temperature has a large role as well. Notice there are not hunting ranches in the northeast while there are many in the midwest. You also see much larger bucks taken around the Mississippi River in Louisiana than most of the southeast. River sediment.

Technically there are 17 sub species of whitetail deer. I did three science projects on whitetails studying movement patterns against moon phase, barometric pressure, wind speed/direction, time of day, and I'm sure I'm missing a few, and totaled about 30 pages in research papers......and they can still make me feel stupid.

Damn, that was a cool project. On a side note a friend of mine killed a 160 inch 8 today, and my brother in law killed an 8 that went 156 as well this morning.

Those are big inch bucks to only have eight on the plate.

Any idea of their age?

It makes me wonder whether either were going up or down.

I don't know about their ages, the one I saw in person was probably, I would guess a 4year old, but maybe a 5. He wasn't an old deer by any means. 8s that size aren't an uncommon thing here.
