MSU has not contacted me about their HC job yet

We got ourselves a complete shit show. The trustees insisted on interviewing people who knew they were window dressing and didn’t even officially offer the job to the one guy they wanted (Fickell) before he passed on it.

But, if any of you have coaching experience,I can put in a good word, I’d trust you as much as what an interim AD and a political board of trustees comes up with.

Yeah, apparently he wants to be back in college ball. A sports radio guy said Bret threw his name out for the Baylor and other jobs openings too. I don’t see him being a candidate for a number of reasons, one of which is the BoT will try to be cheap, and will favor a pan-sexual llama trainer over some alpha male that has actually been around football his whole life.

Mel Tucker is a damn good coach, a helluva recruiter, and a great defensive mind. He spent time working for Saban at Michigan State, LSU, and Alabama. He worked for Jim Tressel at tOSU and coached DBs during their NC season in 2002. He followed Kirby Smart to UGA and was DC for 2 years in Athens before taking the HC job at Colorado. Along the way, he had numerous jobs in the NFL, including an interim HC job for Jacksonville Jaguars for 5 games in 2011.

He played his college ball at Wisconsin so he's very well in tune with B1G football.

The man is fully prepared for what's ahead of him. I wish him the best of luck. I think Sparty is gonna be happy with him.
