My next purchase/ The apocolyspe

Gonna buy me a new pump shotgun. I have a single barrel 12, a 16, a 410 (with slugs), 30 ought 6, with scope and a 30/30.
The old 38 hasn't been fired in years. Anything else I need besides a 50 caliber? lol
I would highly recommend a good modern sidearm, 9mm, .40 or .45 caliber. Glock, Sig Sauer, S&W all make great weapons. Plenty of ammo for all!!!

Is a 10mm worth the money?
In my opinion no. Ammo is not readily available, and expensive as hell. Recoil is heavy, making it difficult to keep rounds on target. Great weapon, just not a great personal defense weapon in my opinion. A little side note, The .40 S&W cartridge evolved from FBI testing of various calibers and loads for the Air Marshals, The .40 is basically a 10mm , but shorter, and less powder.

If you're looking for capacity, I'd say 9mm, but I think I, personally, would prefer the .40. Although nothing beats the .45 1911 IMO.

I'm not near as big a fan of wheel guns over semi-autos.

This bad boy speaks for itself.....

For a shotgun, I've always liked this

I have a Sig .40, and a Glock 9mm. Both are great weapons. Accurate, and reliable. The .40 hits a little harder, with more kinetic energy, but the 9mm is easier to conceal. Pros and cons for both.
I also have a Colt 1911 .45. Weight, magazine capacity factor in as far as my every day carry weapon, but it’s never far from my nightstand. I keep it ready and close.
Your taste in shotguns is exquisite! However, you’ll pay a lot more for the Benelli.

A Remington 870 is my preferred pump shotgun. It's hard to beat a 45 acp in a 1911. @Hard2Bluff get an AR15 in 223/5.56. Lots of that ammo in the states. If you wanted something bigger get an AR10 in 308. The 06 is a wonderful round, I prefer it to the 308 personally, but there's more 308 ammo around.

The 870 is my weapon of choice in the house.

Any idiot that breaks in and hears the click / click is going to know what's next.

Guys...for real, why are you stocking up? Everything dropped on the ground is free game and if you hit a Chinese or Russian troop, it's a free upgrade to burst and auto fire!!!
Comments like this is why. Honestly, a guy with semi auto weapons is no match for guys with military grade weapons. BUT, when it comes to home defense against hood rats and thugs, those weapons, with plenty of ammo could be the difference between protecting you and yours, and becoming a statistic. If you come after me or mine expecting to take what is mine, you will instantly be leaking from many large holes you didn’t have before. Everyone in my home is trained in the use of firearms, and where they are located.
I don’t practice as much as I used to, ammo costs too damn much nowadays, but I’m pretty confident I can still shoot < 10” groups at 75 feet. With a couple of magazines practice I would expect to get that down to 6” or so. Enter uninvited at your own peril.

All these stupid fuckers I work with are constantly talking about how many weapons they have and how many thousands of rounds they have. All I hear when these untrained rednecks brag about what they have stockpiled is where I need to go with my Glock to get all my shit.
