OK, so the shoe finally dropped, who will be my coach next year? Who are the best candidates? My thoughts, but please add other options.

Charles Huff HC from Marshall
Kane Wommack DC from Alabama
Buster Faulkner OC from Georgia Tech
Andy Kotelnicki OC from Penn State
G.J. Kinne HC from Texas State
Anthony Becht (HC) St. Louis Battlehawks

Honestly, although I believe he has a great offensive mind, I do not like him as a HC. Also, he left the program in shambles, which made Brown's job extremely hard in the beginning of his tenure.

Rich Rod has been mentioned as well, and I don't want him either. I think we need something fresh.
 
Another name I heard that was not on my radar was Barry Odom, which I don't think @Peter Gozintite would appreciate much.. He has some connections with Wren Baker (our AD). I know he coached some in the east, but I think of him more as a Missouri guy. My main problem with Dana was he burned our traditional recruiting grounds down and tried to recruit Texas/Oklahoma with the rest of the Big 12. I hope whoever comes in keeps the in roads that Brown has built back up (somewhat, they still need improved upon) in the East.
 
I’d say Charles Huff could be a solid pick he’s done great things at Marshall and knows the region well. G.J. Kinne’s quick turnaround at Texas State is also impressive. What about Tom Herman?
 
I will say our AD does not care about a WV connection. He has hired a Womens' BB. Men's BB, Women's Volleyball and Baseball coaches while at the helm. Every one started with a national search, and only the baseball hire was someone with any connection to WV or WVU - and that was only because the outgoing manager (who had a lot of clout - considering what he did for that team) fought hard for him. That is one of the reasons I did not list Ja'Juan Seider, Tony Gibson, Shannon Dawson, Pat White, etc. I listed Becht and Huff due to their HC experiences and I think either could step into the role. Currently, I am thinking it will be Kotelnicki or Wommack.

That would probably hurt my feelings, if I had any.

This is what happens when a shitty program has success. Their coach gets poached.

I will hate WVU beyond the grave if they take him. No offense, I don't make the rules.
 
OK, here is what I am hearing from just about everyone - Rich Rod will be returning to WVU. I am not a big fan of this, I am still upset in how he left (not that he left, I understood that). Also, although I still feel that Rich's system could work and he could recruit at WVU, I feel that going younger would be the better move. After saying that, there is one thing that is absolutely the truth concerning WVU football, if you WIN we will forgive all of your flaws.
