Neal Brown fired from WVU...

reeks of desperation...
If it wasn't for the donors REALLY wanting him, I would agree. If he does get the job, I foresee a lot of money hitting the NIL collective. We were 27th in NIL collectives at 354 Million (yes, I know lower than TTU's 396 and FAR lower than the top 5 - starting at 716 million); but I think there will be a major commitment to convince Wren to hire RR (what I am hearing is he agrees with my thoughts and wants to bring in someone younger).

good luck, man -
yall (and us) need substantial investment
in a good defensive front -
and that talent is expensive -

i'd prefer the b10 n sec
(inevitable) move forward and break off
to form their own semi-pro league -

(i know tech and west va would want to be part,
but I'm old skool,
and prefer the student-athlete aspect)

Heard a new name today, more along what I was looking for, Brian Hartline from Ohio State. The announcement is supposed to be made tomorrow, so I am guessing either him or RR.

Rich-Rod was a great choice to bring back.

He was emotional at the press conference announcing his hiring.

Within a few years I expect them to be a top 12 team and in the CFP.

I like the RR hire at WV. I like the Frost hire at UCF too. They were both happy and very successful before chasing $ and greater glory. Let’s see if they can recapture the magic!
