Georgia Tech is irrelevant. You better check yerself.
How far back does this go? Penn State has 7 Fiesta Bowl wins without even looking at the other majors.

Colley Matrix ranked UCF as the national champions for the 2017 season in its final poll. UCF was the only unbeaten team in the Football Bowl Subdivision, formerly known as Division I-A.

Yep. And the trophy resides in Tuscaloosa. ROLL TIDE!!!!Yep, and I have a button.
It would be nice to have a true playoff systemYes. I would not discount UCF beating Bama or Clemson that year.
