BREAKING: Two Democrat-appointed federal judges have stepped in to "reinstate the status quo in Arizona" by once again preventing election officials from requiring proof of citizenship to vote.
On July 18th, a panel in the circuit ruled in favor of election integrity by issuing a pause on a previous lower court ruling that barred the enforcement of A.R.S. § 16- 121.01(C),” id., a provision of law which required voter registrants to provide documentary proof of citizenship.
Judge Ronald Gould and Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw decided to "VACATE the motions panel’s order to the extent it stays the district court’s injunction barring enforcement of A.R.S. § 16-121.01(C)." Saying that the election integrity activists are "unlikely to prevail" in proving that state officials have the authority to require proof of citizenship. Judge Patrick J. Bumatay dissented, arguing that his colleagues just made a huge error.
This case is heading to the Supreme Court for an emergency ruling because we have no time to waste with the election right around the corner.
