The only problem is that's exactly what happened.

Letting in 65k a year does seem like a huge amount to try and sort through.
How can the U.S deter people from trying to sneak in and have them go through legal means? I dont really care how many people come in, I care about who they are and how they come in. If they are families..etc seeking refuge then that's fine. Just have to stop anyone who is a criminal, stop drugs, stop guns, stop human trafficking..etc
We also should not be separating families...which I see is one of the Trump Policies that was revoked.
Also, I am for pointing them in the right direction on how they can get on their feet..etc but we should not be giving them healthcare, money...etc before our own people. They can get it, just not free or before U.S citizens.. That includes not before U.S citizens who are Mexican.
I believe Canada has strict laws on who can come into Canada from the U.S. There are miles and miles of unwatched forests along the border, nobody is trying to get into Canada illegally at the rate people come in from Mexico..etc.
My issue has always been the way Trump flippantly calls them all killers and rapists..
If an illegal immigrant is found that is a criminal, they should be sent back.. but not just random families trying to live a better life. But they do need to apply for citizenship.
