Meet the judge: This is Judge Xander Orenstein of the Magisterial District Court of Pennsylvania.

He released a violent transgender felony robbery suspect without bail in June 2023.

The suspect has now been accused of killing a Pennsylvania State Police officer in a brutal stabbing attack on Monday.

Judge Orenstein was reprimanded by the court in April for his long history of releasing suspects accused of serious violent felony crimes without bail.

He ran for his position as the country's first nonbinary Democratic Socialist.
