There's too much murder in Louisville to handcuff the police, writes the Oversight Project's Mike Howell.

A federal judge in Louisville is about to decide if he will allow Louisville to enter into a consent decree between the Biden department of Justice and the Louisville Metro at the behest of the cities hard left Democrat mayor.
I really haven’t heard anybody talk about the story, but I will say that if this consent decree is actually signed, it’s going to make policing in Louisville extremely hard, it will be the wishlist of the BLM crowd and it will make Louisville a sanctuary for crime and gang members, chaos and violence.
Not to mention the fact that it will set a judicial precedent that the federal government can handcuff the way a state police department conducts its duties.
This is just one more example of the sabotage going on as Donald Trump is set to take office. The administration is trying desperately to do this quietly and under the radar, but luckily there are some people who are stepping in like the Oversight Project but at the end of the day there’s a good chance this consent is going to be entered and that will bind Louisville for like five years. They will be bound by a BLM wish list of policing.
This is all in response to the death of Breonna Taylor. This is a move that is being made by Garland and Kristen Clarke. And it’s not one that anybody is really covering in the press.
This consent decree is 259 pages of specific standards that limit the police departments use of force, ability to obtain and execute search warrants, and it will actually stop police officers from being able to execute their responsibilities because they will be stuck in a matrix of de-escalation techniques during life and death decisions. It will handcuff them, and therefore make them very hesitant to act.
It requires police officers to consider the race of the criminal or suspect before engaging with them. That one provision in of itself will have a chilling effect on policing.
So in Louisville, in 2024 Republicans swept every contested seat for the metro council. The people literally voted against chaos and disorder.
But that’s going to now be in the hands of a federal district court judge and that is very scary because we have seen what some of these district court judges are capable of.
This is yet another test run of how democrats can implement their will at the federal level on states and municipalities.
