I'm sorry, but we have to stop with the ridiculous sign language interpreters, who turn serious press conferences into a farce. There are closed captions on all broadcast channels and streaming services. No wild human gesticulators necessary.

My wife took issue with me making a same point yesterday. You want to virtue signal with a sign language person, fine. But find a normal man or woman in a business suit. Some goofy looking overly emoting obese trans muppet undermines the severity and grvity of the situation.

Edit: the guy in this video is 10X more normal than the one I am referring to. At lest he's normal shaped, wearing a polo with his shirt tucked in.

The Department of Homeland Security extended by another 18 months Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for roughly 1,900 Sudanese immigrants, 103,700 Ukrainian immigrants, 232,000 Salvadoran immigrants and 600,000 Venezuelans.

The program will now allow up to 937,600 eligible foreign nationals to remain in the US into 2026, though the precise end date varies by country. The protection had initially been scheduled to terminate later this year.

New York City fire Commissioner Robert Tucker made the helpful overture to the embattled Bass in recent days, as five blazes rage around Los Angeles and its suburbs, killing at least 10 people and destroying thousands of homes and businesses, sources said Friday.

JetBlue even offered to pay for the city smoke-eaters’ flights across the country from the Big Apple to Los Angeles, sources said.

Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom accepted help from Mexico, thanking its president, Claudia Shein, on Friday for the assist, while extra firefighters from Colorado, New Mexico and Utah flocked to the state to help Thursday.
