My current mower, a 42” Cub Cadet lawn tractor is in need of replacing. Still runs great, but the deck is wore the hell out. It’s been a great mower but is 15 years old. I’m considering either a John Deere zero turn, or a Cub cadet Zero turn. Any recommendations?

The original zero turn model.

How big is your lawn?
Check out Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. There's some pretty damn good deals there on some barely used items.

I'm a John Deere lawn tractor guy which I own for my pea sized lawn but if buy a ZTR, Scag IMO.

I’ve had a “cheap” john deere tractor mower for 10 years....mow an acre once or twice a week. Never been in the shop, I take care of the routine maintenance....but will admit that I just changed the spark plug for the first time....not because I had to but because I was feeling guilty....
