He’s the obvious choice but the baggage might be the thing that keeps it from happening. New President Folt was brought in to clean up the University from some pretty crappie stuff that went on inside and outside the athletic department. Is hiring Urban sending the wrong message.

Hell of a coach... shitty human being. As you say the president was hired to take out the trash. I'd be surprised if they do just because of this, but winning blinds folks. Kind of like the woman who always gets into relationships with human garbage thinking she can "change him", then wonders what went wrong when she's in the emergency room. Just my opinion.
 
There’s been talk for a while now that the bot doesn’t and hasn’t cared about the football program for some time. The Pete Carroll hiring was dumb luck. He was an unemployed .500 nfl coach.

Talk is an occasional PAC 12 championship and Rose Bowl appearance is fine with those in charge. University is trying to be like Stanford and Harvard.

As a fan that’s a tough pill to swallow but I get it.

as the costs of facilities and coaching salaries go from too high to ludicrous, more schools may feel the same way

I think costs are WAY out of line
