Oregon going after Chip Kelly

Wants to bring him back home.

Now. Let's say uncle Phil gets involved as a way to funnel in players under the Nike name. And tell him every 5* gets X amount of Nike NIL. Every 4* gets Y amount.

You want to see how college football gets broken.

Now put in incentives. Every 5* that comes in from the transfer portal if they are on the schedule within the years they would have played against Oregon gets X amount of dollars, so on so forth.

You turn Oregon into a minor league NFL team.

It is insane how dangerous Kelly could be at Oregon

Why wouldn’t he of done that for Mario if he stayed or any other coach? Why does he do it just for Chip?

NIL is perfectly legal.

Bryce Young was worth 1 mil in NIL before he took his first college snap. It would be nothing for Nike to make some generic line of $40 shoes with the signature of the different high ranked players on the roster. And then offer each a contract for NIL for X amount.

Quinn Ewers should be playing high school football this year. Instead, he reclassified and joined Ohio State. Before he took his first snap he'd already got millions in NIL. Now he's in the portal and Texas is looking to have him making NFL 1st round NIL money before he even takes the field. He didn't play his senior season in high school and has played 4 snaps in college. NIL is insane because there are currently no credible rules in place.

Between NIL and transfer portal this sport is going to morph into something we don’t recognize within a decade.

I know we all joked about bag men. And we all know there has always been BS cheating in the sport. But this literally creates organized cheating in the sport. The possibilities are endless.

A couple of examples. B Kelly is a good not great coach. He is already worth 10s of million in Under Armor stock from ND. Not to mention what he actually got paid. What’s to stop him from giving money to a charity or scholarship program. Or if there is a very well of benefactor. That then offers NIL deals to stack his roster for next year. With the transfer portal. He can take up to 7 transfers and they are available right away. Anymore than that in 1 year and they have to bench for the year. He has already had 7 players leave or enter the portal. And he is allowed to take up to 25 recruits this year.

Want to talk about lightning in a bottle rosters? You don’t think stupid 19 year olds won’t be dumb enough to chase dollars instead of degrees?

not wearing the conspiracy hat. But honestly think about if a hedge fund or legit organized crime got involved to make a BS fund for NIL to stack a roster?

Yeah. When NIL was passed, we all discussed how volatile it would become initially. It was pushed through with very little thought process into how to regulate it. It's gonna get really bad out of hand before they can figure out what the rules should be. As always, we humans make decisions first and figure out how to deal with the repercussions afterwards.

Ucla Twitter fans are saying he’s gone.

Edit: all 2 of them
Duck fans are conflicted about this. Some have memories of the Marcus Mariota days and the other half is still butthurt how it all went down when and after Chip flew the coop. Chip isn't big into recruiting but if he has someone doing it for him the rest of the PAC could be in trouble especially now that Uncle Phil aka Mr. Nike has footed the bill for new indoor football facilities for Oregon. That cvnt has a never ending supply of money.

Of all the coaching changes, this was the most obvious once Cristobal was gone. Actually, most of the changes were pretty damn surprising to me, even if it was understandable.

I’m not familiar with his previous staff from when he had Duck rolling, but I think he’ll have plenty of cash to put together something special.

This hire is/will be the most likely to succeed, we know what he can do there.

I’m trying to figure it out in my head. Part of me is nervous about it, part of me thinks college football has figured Chip out.

It makes me unhappy he is leaving ucla for 2 reasons. Without uncle Phil’s unlimited supply of money, Chip was average at ucla. It also makes me nervous who will end up coaching ucla.
