QOTD: Best Player not to win a Heisman

I think there are a lot of best players never to win a heisman,, that trophy is not for the best player in college football anymore.

If only he had put those numbers up against real defenses...

All kidding aside, it would have been interesting to see what he could have done against SEC defenses imo. The kids had a ton of talent.
I don’t think they every player against any SEC team while he was there. But plenty of people play against bad defenses and still don’t break Barry Sanders record for all purpose yards in a season. But he’s doing that same stuff in the nfl now so I’d say he’s proven himself. I mean he even won me my fantasy championship single handedly lol.

Is he? Cool.

Oh, I see, a hybrid back who catches a lot of passes vs the traditional RB role(s)...

“Traditional RB Roles” have always been fluid. But yes, he is extremely versatile and is a major mismatch for every defense in the league.

Same, he carried my team to a league title (and also my opponent in the championship game making one of the all time blunders in sitting Aaron Jones in the title game)

Was there a time when it was? I mean, you can go back in it’s existence and make a case for a player that deserved it more in almost every decade it’s been awarded.
