There actually used to be a MoS for railroading in the Army. They recently cut it. There are times that a civilian crew would have to have a military crew on board with them for sensitive freight. Like certain types of nuclear.

Back after WW2. The Railroad was going to strike. And it was either Truman or Ike but they were going to nationalize the railroads and basically conscript every worker to keep the strike from happening
 
Seriously I don't care who from which party did what. As long as it was figured out. Slainte to any administration that was willing to broker a deal
