Hall of Fame 3B, O's star Brooks Robinson dies

Hall of Fame third baseman Brooks Robinson has died at the age of 86. Robinson spent his entire 23-year career in Baltimore, where he won two World Series and was an 18-time All-Star.

Possibly the best 3rd baseman to ever play the game. I rarely watch baseball anymore. The days of a player spending his entire career with one team are over. Rest well, Mr. Robinson. You made an everlasting impact on the game you loved.

When I was 8 or 9 and just starting to really pay attention to and understand baseball (and before my Royals fandom took hold), the Orioles were THE team and Brooks Robinson was THE player.
