My paternal grandpa (backpack radio man, PFC US Army Euro Theatre) made a statement that never really made the most sense until recent.

He hated the Russians far more than the Nazis once the war was over (he didn't have enough points after VE day to go home so he was stationed in Vienna and later Berlin). He said the Nazi soldiers immediately went back to being "human" as best they could he said. The Russians, they continued to savage people long after the last Nazi holdouts where killed or hung.

Here's just one example. Russian tank decides it wants to crush a car with an elderly man driving.

I've always had a fond hatred of Russians and the Japs of the 40s for all they did....(Japs because of Maternal Grandpa, Captain US Army Air Corps B29 Navigator Pacific Theatre)

I just don't know how Putin, often regarded as brilliant and shrewd, decided "Cleansing Nazis" was a legitimate excuse while the President and Prime Minister are both Jews (first time in Ukranian history)

Pretty sure Putin might have the bad brains like I do now because that's the most retarded excuse I've ever heard and I'm a diagnosed tard.

Really? He’s thumbing our eye. The woke west has said any violence against Nazis is justified. So, he used their tactic-mislabel your enemy as a nazi and do as you please against them.

I'm guessing he learned that tactic from the America left. Sort of like how they call conservative blacks Uncle Tom's.

This. 1000% this. It's not really about crushing Nazis, it's that Nazi has been used as the Left's codeword for "anything I don't like" for a while now. It justifies violence against the "Nazi" and no one will question it, because that would make them look like a Nazi sympathizer. So, once again, the Left changes the meaning of words to fit their narrative.
