Saban Retiring

bama is the worst job in the country. The bar for perceived success is too high and only a fool would accept it. It will be interesting to see who takes that job.

While I 1000% agree with you. And I can't imagine the pressure.

For those top tier coaches with that mentality. They will tell you they believe they are better than Saban. And that they just need the opportunity to prove it. And would take that job in a heartbeat.

Now rather they can execute on that belief. That is the million dollar question.

He’s not there interviewing for the job, he’s there poaching players. Haha

Do love your energy on this tho, hard at it like Carroll gnawing on all that hubba bubba.
That would be funny. Get flown in on a private jet, then just catch an Uber to meet up with some players and let them know what kind of NIL that Uncle Phil can drop on them.

Perceived success? Past accomplishments are real but so much has changed in the last few years that it’s not the same job as it would have been just 3 years ago. Nowhere is. Big money schools and their deep booster coffers will continue to change the landscape. I would guess most Bama fans get this and can be realistic about it but the Gomer types from Martinez never will and will be distant voices.

Saban's leaving, you don't say...
Is that Mrs. Congeniality?

Saban said his retirement was for a health issue but it wasn’t his health

Rumors are spreading that it his wife’s health that caused the retirement

More rumors are spreading that the Sabans have been aware since a
diagnosis in August

I just saw this on Athlon.

"Cowherd is hearing that Washington's Kalen DeBoer and Clemson's Dabo Swinney are the two names to watch for as Alabama begins its coaching search."
