And like that, he was gone...
Please pray for these students and this player's family . Their classmate and son Alex Miller collapsed on the field in Roane County WV yesterday and he didn't make it home. My cousins wife wrote these words and I feel they need to be shared.
"Last night we sat at the game surrounded by friends and family laughing and cheering.. in one second.. one second.. everything changed. The entire field was silent. Just silence.... fear... unknowing ...silence... we watched as the ambulance rushed towards the player, as the medics worked, the team kneeled.. in complete... silence... over the loud speaker... “pray.. everyone pray”... there was no one refusing .. no one fighting against one another.. no ...we all prayed.. this is what I heard “ sobbing.. crying out to God.. praying for peace and comfort... praying for this young man, for the teams, prayers for his family “ A community coming together. This is a horrible time for Roane. This is a sad time for our players.. our communities.. I pray that in this time ,we take time, to truly see how precious life is. If today, while you are reading this, is your time, are you ready? Maybe you need to make things right with people. Maybe you need to let things go. Maybe you need to do things you’ve always wanted to do. Maybe you need to love a little harder and hate a little less. But most importantly.. maybe you need to make things right with God. Whatever it is.. let this be your eye opener.. let today be the day you start making your life right.. cause in one second.. everything... can be silent..."
