It's what I expected for several reasons 1) not a home game 2)not a conference game so no razzle dazzle until then 3)a power foe 4) portal players having to adjust to new team in first game of season 5) several key injuries during game but only one out in first half 6)Beamer always plays conservative with a lead and eats the clock then opens it up late in game.

And finally, it's his dad's old team. He's not going to embarrass them.
